Trudy Herbst Named First Executive Director of Door County Historical Society

The Door County Historical Society recently announced Trudy Herbst has joined the organization as executive director. The board of directors believes now is the time to hire an executive director so that the organization may continue to flourish and successfully address its mission to preserve and celebrate Door County’s rich history. Herbst comes with a wealth of experience in nonprofit management at Door County organizations. She was recently employed for more than12 years as the development director at the Door County Maritime Museum.

Linda Sealey, board of directors president said, “We are very pleased to bring on Trudy Herbst as our first executive director for the Door County Historical Society. Trudy’s extensive experience with other local not-for-profit and historical organizations allows her to step in with minimal orientation and immediately dig into our tasks at hand. We look forward to working with Trudy to upgrade our management systems, enhance our role in the community and continue to exceed the expectations of our members and guests.”
