Belgian booyah and bread will be served at the Belgian Heritage Center at 1255 County DK, Brussels (the former St. Mary of the Snows Church) on April 26, 11 am to 2 pm. Booyah, a hearty soup typically cooked in large outdoor kettles, is a traditional dish and a mainstay at gatherings in the Belgian historical area of northeastern Wisconsin.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Belgian Heritage Center in its mission to preserve and promote the area’s unique culture, history and architecture. In keeping with this mission, there will be someone available to scan historic photographs from the Belgian community at the event.

The menu will include booyah, bread, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children and children age 3 or below are free. Bring your own containers for carry-outs.
