Turtle Ridge Studio-Gallery Presents “New Directions”

Traditionally, Turtle Ridge Studio-Gallery in Ellison Bay has been all about handbags and leather; however, this year, the studio-gallery has exploded with new ideas. Encompassed in an exhibit, appropriately entitled “New Directions,” are concepts taken from the North, South, East and West, as well as forays in new directions with regard to materials, styles, subject and function.

On display as part of “New Directions” are: recycled tee dresses, new bag designs with dynamic colors, new embossed designs, as well as Mary Ellen Sisulak’s one-of-a-kind fiber wall pieces.

In celebration of “New Directions,” Turtle Ridge Studio-Gallery will host an afternoon of entertainment on July 31. The festivities, which will run from noon – 7 pm, will include activities for kids and adults, refreshments and a raffle for one of Turtle Ridges’ most popular new 2008 designs, as well as a performance by The Nicks, a Door County favorite, from 4 – 7 pm.
