Five Door County Wrestlers Qualify for State

Two of Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol’s boys wrestlers qualified for the WIAA individual state wrestling tournament at Saturday’s Division 2 sectional at Wrightstown.

Zak Wrobel (wrestling at 170 pounds) and Ben Roman (285) both placed third in their respective weight classes to advance to state.

The top-three wrestlers in each weight class for the boys qualified.

In the girls division, in which the top sectional finisher in each weight class automatically advanced to state, Southern Door qualified two wrestlers, Nora LeFevre (100) and Hailey Veeser (138).

Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol’s Tiana LeMieux (165), who finished second at the sectional, also qualified for state.
