Ulvilden’s “Coffee and Cupcakes” on Display at Base Camp in Sister Bay

Sister Bay artist Pipka Ulvilden has produced a special selection of art pieces entitled “Coffee and Cupcakes” to be on exhibition at Base Camp Coffee Bar from June 10 to July 14.

“My two favorite food sources, coffee and cupcakes, inspired this collection of collage, paint and mixed assemblage,” said Ulvilden. Although a nationally recognized designer of Pipka Limited Edition Collectibles, for the past few years Ulvilden has ventured into the world of collage. “It’s as though everything I have done throughout my career comes together in this medium – painting, designing, collecting,” she said. “It’s such a spontaneous art form…and so much fun!”

Ulvilden travels frequently to Europe to do research for her famous Old World Santas and now makes time to browse European antique markets in search of treasures to use in her collages.
