United Way Exceeds Campaign Goal

In mid-April 2020, the United Way of Door County’s board set a campaign goal of $650,000: an increase of $107,000 over what was raised the previous year. The Community Investment Committee reviewed grant applications in November and December – a process usually done much earlier – and found that applicants’ needs were high for 2021.

“It is my pleasure to announce that this year, the community has donated $752,540.60 to United Way of Door County,” said board president Peter Kerwin. “We are overwhelmed. Thank you! This will go a long way toward meeting the true needs of our community.”

This is the first year since 2011 when United Way of Door County has met its campaign goal. That year, it raised $457,000. In 2017, the organization surpassed the half-million mark by raising $563,082. Follow United Way of Door County on social media or visit unitedwaydc.com to learn more.
