United Way Invites Families to “Be Our Guest” at Special Family Screening of “Beauty and the Beast”

United Way of Door County is inviting families to “Be Our Guest” at a special opening-weekend premiere of the new movie Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.

The special family screening starts at 10 am, doors open at 9:30 am, March 18 at Sturgeon Bay Cinema, 1820 Alabama St., Sturgeon Bay. The cost will be $10, which includes a small soda and popcorn. Attendees are encouraged to dress in prince or princess attire. Three dollars from each ticket will be donated to United Way of Door County. The funds donated will go toward meeting United Way’s Annual Campaign need for 2017.

The film is a live-action retelling of the 1991 animated Disney classic. A young prince, imprisoned in the form of a beast, can be freed only by true love. What may be his only opportunity arrives when he meets Belle, the only human girl to ever visit the castle since it was enchanted. “We are thrilled to partner with the Sturgeon Bay Cinema for this special event,” said Amy Kohnle, executive director of United Way of Door County. “This is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2017, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to share an extra screening of Beauty and the Beast while bringing visibility to the United Way of Door County.”
