United Way Launches Live Well Initiative

United Way of Door County will revive an old health and wellness initiative in Door County by asking residents, organizations and agencies to join a new initiative:  Live Well Door County. Be part of a movement to improve the overall health equity and well-being of Door County residents in mind, body and spirit.

The United Way of Door County has applied to the Gannett Foundation’s A Community Thrives grant program through the USA Today Network. If they are successful in raising $3,000 through an online CrowdRise Campaign, they will be eligible to move to the next stage and possibly receive grant funding totaling $10k to $100k.

Live Well Door County is collaborative, inclusive, self-paced and person-centered by design. The CrowdRise funds will be used to create a Live Well Door County navigation system consisting of a website and Facebook page that community members can use to build a wellness map.
