United Way of Door County Presents 13th Annual Chefs for a Day

The much-anticipated date for this year’s Chefs for a Day fundraiser to benefit United Way of Door County has changed to Friday, Oct. 10.

Chefs for a Day will be held again at Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club with doors opening at 6 pm. Volunteer servers will begin distributing hors d’oeuvres starting at 6:30 pm and at 7:15 pm guests will be able to sample the entrees, served by the chef at numerous buffet stations.

This year’s guests will have the opportunity to sample 45 gourmet dishes. With an international theme, chefs may prepare any dish that they would like – Italian, French, Indian, Chinese, American, or Spanish, to mention a few.

In addition to the gourmet appetizers and entrees, guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with a variety of desserts, which will be served at each dining table later in the evening.

A few of this year’s chefs include Pamela Parks from Pampered Chef, Tim and Barb Graul from Timothy Graul Marine Services, and Tracie Oldenburg from Baylake Bank. A doctor, a newspaper reporter, a non-profit executive director, and a financial consultant are a few more of the people from Door County who are preparing taste-tempting dishes for your enjoyment.

Throughout the evening there will be a silent auction and raffles. Some items include artwork, jewelry, dining certificates, Rudy Project sunglasses, a Kohler’s American Club “In Celebration of Chocolate” package, and more.

Tickets are available for $45 at the United Way office. All tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information or tickets please contact the United Way office at 920.746.9645 or visit http://www.unitedwaydc.com.
