United Way of Door County set a fundraising record during its 2021 campaign, surpassing its $775,000 goal.
The organization raised $781,317, announced board president Heidi Neubauer Jan. 10. That comes on the heels of a record-setting year in 2020. “The board knew that the needs were great however they were cautious when setting their goal, since 2020 was the first time that the organization had met their goal since 2011,” the organization said in a statement.
Neubauer said she was “thankful for those who came together to share a cup of hot cocoa, braved the cold to visit the Grinch, shared our social media, and supported United Way in anyway.”
