Unity Celebrates 35th Anniversary

Unity, leaders in hospice and palliative care, recently announced the celebration of the organization’s 35th anniversary.

“Our anniversary celebration honors the many patients and families who have entrusted their care to Unity over the years. In caring for the residents of Northeast Wisconsin for 35 years, we are finding ourselves caring for multiple generations within families,” states Alisa Gerke, Unity’s Executive Director. “Our strength comes from being a locally owned not-for-profit provider that people have come to rely on for highly-skilled and compassionate care during serious illness and at the end of life.”

Unity’s origins date back to 1977 when Bellin Health founded the first hospice in Wisconsin through its inpatient program and one of the first hospices in the nation.
