Unity Hospice Offering March Orientation Sessions for Volunteers

Unity, leaders in hospice and palliative care, recently announced March orientation sessions for its volunteer program. Unity’s Volunteer Services Department works closely with individuals to find meaningful ways for them to participate in its palliative, hospice and bereavement programs.

Opportunities exist throughout Unity’s 12-county service area in roles including being a friendly visitor to patients in private homes or assisted living facilities, transporting patients to appointments, cutting the hair of homebound patients (licensed hairdressers only) and utilizing sewing talents for Unity’s creative keepsake program.

Orientation dates for new volunteers have been set for March 14 or March 24 at Unity’s De Pere administrative office. Unity staff will share insight into the volunteer role and provide guidance and education to help prepare individuals for their volunteer assignments.

Registration is required by calling the Unity office at 800.990.9249 or emailing [email protected].
