Unity Hospice Receives $25,000 KC Stock Foundation Grant

Unity Hospice has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the KC Stock Foundation to provide Treatment Plus services to patients battling advanced illness. Unity’s Treatment Plus, formerly known as Palliative Program, is the state’s first team-based care program for individuals with a life expectancy of two years or less, and their family members.

“We at Unity are so grateful to the KC Stock Foundation for their support of Unity Treatment Plus. In 2015 alone, Unity provided $1.3 million in CommUnity Care to under- and un-insured patients. There is a growing number of area residents battling advanced illness who are experiencing deteriorating health, difficult symptoms and declining ability. Many of these individuals do not have the financial means necessary to cover the in-home care they need,” said Development Director Diana Butz.
