Unity Hospice Receives Grant for CommUnity Care Program

Unity Hospice has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation to help fund hospice room & board at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence for individuals 60 years and older who have limited or absent financial resources. As hospice stays are largely unfunded by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance, the grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation will support Unity’s CommUnity Care program, a donor-funded payment source created to ensure those with absent or limited financial resources receive the end-of-life care they deserve. In 2015, Unity’s CommUnity Care program covered $48,600 in room and board fees for hospice patients with limited financial means residing at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence.
