Unity Hospice Welcomes David Schrier as Medical Director

David Schrier, MD, has joined Unity Hospice as the new Medical Director. As Medical Director, Dr. Schrier is responsible for the review and certification of patient referrals to hospice and the oversight of patients’ medical care and treatment plans. Dr. Schrier comes to Unity Hospice with nearly 30 years of combined

experience in oncology, hospice and palliative care.

“I am honored and excited to join the Unity team and look forward to serving patients and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin,” said Dr. Schrier.

Schrier received his Bachelor’s Degree from DePauw University in Indiana and earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado. He is board certified in Medical Oncology and also possesses extensive knowledge in hospice having served as Palliative Care and Hospice Medical Director for the Colorado Visiting Nurses Association for 10 years. His vast experience also extends into non-medical aspects of patient care including staffing, scheduling, marketing, education and community involvement as a result of establishing a private practice and founding Ray of Hope Foundation, a cancer support charity.
