Unity Staff Members Achieve National Certification

Unity, leaders in hospice and palliative care, recently announced that two members of its staff achieved national certification in hospice and palliative care.

Nurse practitioner Kristen Moen achieved recognition as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. Nurse practitioners become eligible to sit for the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses’ Advanced Practice Certification exam after completing 500 hours of post master’s practice in providing palliative and hospice care.

Kara Delveaux, a registered nurse, achieved recognition as a Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) Approved Educator. To become an Approved Educator, a registered nurse must be certified through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses in their discipline.
