Unity Staff Members Achieve National Recertification

Unity, leaders in hospice and palliative care, recently announced that two members of its nursing staff achieved national recertification in hospice and palliative care from the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses.

Registered nurse Patti Martens achieved recertification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN®). Martens coordinates and oversees patient care staff across Unity’s 12-county service area during on-call hours.

Certified nursing assistant, Patti Lawton, was recertified as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistant (CHPNA®). Lawton provides personal cares and assistance for patients, and their families throughout Kewaunee and Door County.
