Unprecedented Sixth ‘Arc’ Appearance for Bren Sibilsky

Algoma sculptor and painter Bren Sibilsky was juried into the International Arc Salon 2019 art competition – one of the most prestigious collections of artists in the world – for an unprecedented sixth time. The Arc Salon, now in its 14th year, attracted approximately 4,300 entries from 73 countries this year. To be listed is truly a measure of the high-quality artwork that Sibilsky produces year after year.

Her 2019 juried artwork is a portrait of a Native American woman titled “Woman of Prophecy” that will soon be ready to cast into bronze. To see Sibilsky’s sculpture and the rest of the works in the salon, visit artrenewal.org.

Sibilsky’s other recent focus is hosting her ninth annual Lost Wax Bronze Casting class and making plans for the 10th annual class. There are two classes planned for early June 2020 at the Algoma Atelier of Art. She is also planning a 10th-anniversary all-bronze show featuring all of the pieces (about 100) that were cast at the class during the last nine years. To learn more, visit brensculpture.com.
