• The Gibraltar Booster Club’s annual golf outing to raise funds to support the school’s athletic programs has found a new home. The Orchards Golf Course in Egg Harbor will host the outing this year on Friday, June 4. The 9-hole golf scramble begins with a shotgun start at 4:30 pm.

Dozens of great prizes will be given to golf and raffle winners, including dozens of gift certificates to local restaurants, stores, and lodging establishments.

• Volunteers will work on the new third court being built in Town of Gibraltar at the courts on County Highway A, about one mile east of Highway 42, on Saturday, May 15. The league’s returning teams must re-up for the season by Monday, May 17. Participation in the league requires a $100 team sponsorship fee and a $100 per team player fee. The pre-season captain’s meeting is Wednesday, May 26 at 7 pm at the courts, and the first night of play is June 2. • The Village of Egg Harbor will host its open book session where residents can ask questions about their property assessments May 22 from noon – 2 pm at the Bertschinger Center. The village’s board of review is scheduled for June 7 at 2 pm.

• The Village of Sister Bay will host its 6th annual community-wide rummage sale May 22 from 8 am – 4 pm. Maps with locations and sale descriptions will be available May 15 at http://www.sisterbay.com. Restaurants throughout the village will offer specials for shoppers.

•The Sister Bay Advancement Association will have its annual spring meeting at the Rowleys Bay Restaurant May 20. Social hour runs from 5:30 – 6:30 pm and a buffet dinner begins at 6:30 pm.

• A workshop to learn more about Housing Trusts will be offered at the Sister Bay Fire Station May 17. The workshop will cover various issues associated with housing trusts and runs from 9 am – 4:30 pm. The workshop costs $20 to attend.

• Assessor Troy Zacharias will hold office hours at the Jacksonport Town Hall May 22 from 9 – 11 am. The town also announced that it will hold its first board of review meeting June 5 from 9 – 11 am at the town hall.

• Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel will seek another term at the helm in November’s election. Vogel defeated Will Oakley in 2006. Challengers may take out nomination papers beginning June 1.
