USDA Invests in Rural Water Infrastructure

The USDA is investing $192 million in 71 projects across 29 states to improve rural water infrastructure.

It is also extending the prevented plant crop reporting deadline for Wisconsin producers who were affected by spring flooding and excessive moisture. Producers without crop insurance or Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program coverage in Wisconsin now have until July 15 to report acres they intended to plant this spring but could not due to weather conditions.

The new deadline coincides with the existing July 15 FSA crop acreage reporting deadline.
