UU Fellowship Going Solar

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) is moving away from reliance on fossil fuels by installing solar panels. Once operational, the new panels will generate approximately 10,000 kWh of energy per year, supply 90% of the UUFDC’s electricity usage and keep the equivalent of 5.5 tons of coal in the ground.

With the needed permits in place, the solar-panel installation can begin this month, weather permitting. UUFDC’s board of directors selected Eland Electric Corporation of Green Bay for the project, with Jesse Michalski serving as the project manager.
