UU Fellowship Screens “Pay 2 Play”

On Aug. 16, Movies That Matter will screen Pay 2 Play: Democracy’s High Stakes at 4:30 pm.

Pay 2 Play is an entertaining documentary about the corrupting influence of money in politics. The film not only looks at the problems, but also offers a simple set of solutions to take back our democracy.

Driven to make the world a better place for his newborn daughter, director John Ennis looks for ways out of our system of pay-to-play politics. Along the way, he journeys through high drama on the Ohio campaign trail, uncovers the secret history of the game Monopoly, and explores the underworld of L.A. street art on a humorous odyssey that reveals how much of a difference one person can make. Pay 2 Play features Robert Reich, Noam Chomsky, Lawrence Lessig, Jerry Springer, John Nichols, Van Jones, Marianne Williamson, Jack Abramoff, Thom Hartmann, Bob Edgar and more.

The film is part of the monthly Movies That Matter series examining a wide range of issues. The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.7559.
