UU GALLERY FEATURES PHOTOGRAPHY BY DAN CROSS

The UUFDC Gallery (uufdc.org), 10341 Water St. (Hwy 42) in Ephraim, is featuring experimental photography by Dan Cross as its June/July exhibit, Unveiling the Past: The Anasazi. Cross, an artist and gallery director; and his wife, Diane, opened Idea Gallery in 2017 at 6551 Cty T in West Jacksonport.

This body of work relates to the indigenous First Nation Anasazi of Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, who flourished between 200 BC and AD 1500.

β€œI visited Chaco 35 years ago,” Cross said. β€œIt was a very spiritual place. This body of work being spiritual in nature searches for the unseen, to make it visible in an imaginary way. I hope to touch the viewer in an elemental experience.”
