UUF of Door Country Screens “The Invention of Lying”

The UU Fellowship in Ephraim will screen the film The Invention of Lying on July 19 at 4:30 pm. Recommended by frequent UU speaker Rev. Joan Shiels, this fictional film conveys the very real social construct of lying.

The film centers on an unsuccessful screenwriter played by Ricky Gervais, who gains fame and fortune – and maybe the girl of his dreams, played by Jennifer Garner – by saying things that are not true in a world where no one fibs, fiction doesn’t exists, and people take each other at their literal word.

The film, created in 2009, is rated PG-13. The screening is free and open to the public.

The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Highway 42 in Ephraim. For more information visit http://www.uufdc.org or call 920.854.7559.
