UUF of Door County Features Birch Creek Ambassadors

A jazz performance played in a cabaret setting will take place on July 28 at 7 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim. The Birch Creek Ambassadors, a group of promising young musicians, will bring a variety of music and amazing talent for an evening of enjoyment.

Nationally acclaimed faculty members Marty Robinson from UW-Oshkosh and Chris Madsen of Northwestern University will perform side-by-side with the students who range in age from 15 to 18.

Their repertoire consists of jazz standards, and the group is generally comprised of a saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, drums, and guitar player.

The Ambassadors was formed in 1999 to serve as Birch Creek’s goodwill ambassadors, acquainting residents and visitors with Birch Creek’s mission and programs, as well as bringing jazz to numerous venues throughout the county.

The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Highway 42 in Ephraim. Tickets are $10; students are free. Refreshments are included. For more information call 920.854.7559 or visit http://www.uufdc.org.
