UUF Offers New Nature Programs for All Ages

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County will offer three programs for children during the school year based on the theme Our Natural World.

Every Monday (except when Gibraltar Area Schools are closed) infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers from the entire community are invited for stories, songs, crafts and social time. Preschool story time will be held weekly from 10:30 until 11:30 am. Advance registration is not required. There is no fee and everyone is welcome.

On the third Friday of each month school-age children from the entire community are invited to join Nature Club, which meets after school until 5:30 pm. Participants will engage in nature activities, science experiments, hikes, and other outdoor activities. Advance registration by parents or guardians is required; you may sign up for one session or many. There is no fee and all are welcome.

The focus on nature continues on Sundays with the UU Fellowship’s multi-age religious education classes held during the regular Sunday services that begin at 10 am. Like the Nature Club, parents or guardians must register their children before attending the Sunday classes.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County is located at 10341 Highway 42 in north Ephraim. Contact Anna Knapp with questions about or to register for any of the UU Fellowship’s programs for children; call 920.493.2649 or email [email protected].
