UUF Screens Timeless, Christmas Classic

In honor of the holiday season, Movies That Matters presents Frank Capra’s 1946 classic, It’s A Wonderful Life, on Dec. 18 at the UU Fellowship in north Ephraim. This film is recognized by the American Film Institute as one of the 100 best American films ever made, and ranks number one on a list of the most inspirational American films of all time.

James Stewart stars as George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel. The angel shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community would be had he never been born.

The film is 65 years old, but it’s lessons and themes are timeless. This free screening begins at 4:30 pm will be followed by a discussion (tissues will be available).

The Social Responsibility Committee at the UU Fellowship presents the monthly Movies That Matter to inform as well as move the community to think and act in productive ways.

The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Highway 42 in Ephraim. For more information visit http://www.uufdc.org or call 920.854.7559.
