UUFDC Moves to Ephraim

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) has a new home! The congregation, numbering nearly 100 members and a similar number of friends and visitors, recently purchased the former Wildflower Gift Shop located on the south end of the Green Gables Shops in Ephraim. The beautiful space with abundant natural lighting will provide room for future expansion. In addition to the larger sanctuary, the new facility will have a classroom for religious education for school-age children, a hospitality room and an expanded gallery for the monthly art shows displaying the works of Door County artists. The UUFDC also sponsors the Emerson Cultural Series that features a variety of music and theater performances; a monthly film series; workshops on various religious topics led by clergy including a Bible study group led by Rabbi Jay Brickman; a book club; the Birch Creek Ambassadors; and Midsummer’s Music performances.

The new UUFDC facility located at 10341 Water Street (Highway 42), Ephraim will be dedicated during a special service June 22 at 4:30 pm. The congregation welcomes all who share an interest in a liberal, accepting religious community. Weekly services are held at 10 am year round.
