UW-Extension Summer Field Day May 30

On May 30, 1-4pm, UW-Extension will have a summer field day at the Olson Family Farms, 580 County S, Sturgeon Bay. UW-Extension state specialists and county agriculture agents will present on observations and recommendations for controlling multiple pests that may be an issue this year, including insects, plant diseases and herbicide-resistant weeds. Live plants will be available for a session on pigweed identification. There will also be a presentation on current projects with alfalfa, including low-lignin plot results, coated vs. non-coated seed, seeding rates and yield data.
