Door County Public Health has adjusted its focus and practices as the number and severity of COVID-19 cases, and the number of residents seeking immunizations, have continued to decline.
In order to conserve its resources, Door County Public Health will hold one clinic per month for COVID-19 (Pfizer) vaccinations for people 12 and older. The scheduled dates of these clinics are Tuesdays – July 19, Aug. 9 and Sept. 13 – all 1-4 pm at the Government Center, 421 Nebraska St. in Sturgeon Bay. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted.
Door County Public Health will continue to provide routine childhood and general adult immunizations on Wednesdays at the Government Center. These appointment times will vary. COVID-19 (Pfizer only) vaccinations for children ages 6 months to 18 years will also be available during these weekly clinics.
Because of limited resources and the demand for the COVID-19 infant (ages 6 months to 4 years) vaccination series, the available Wednesday clinic appointment times for this vaccine may be limited. Those interested in obtaining the new pediatric vaccine may also contact their established health care provider/clinic.
The public is asked to schedule appointments for any immunizations at Door County Public Health by calling 920.746.2234. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday, 7-11 am.
