2pm. Lecture: Muir's Flowers. Meet at Collins Learning Center 3:30pm. Guided hike. Following the lecture, join the naturalist in a walk through the upland areas where Muir's flowers bloom in September. Meet at the Collins Learning Center. Free and open to the public.

Try your hand at blacksmithing for one day. Blacksmiths are on site teaching guests the basics of using a coal-fired forge, reading a fire, managing coals, and using a hammer. Participants should wear cotton fabric and bring safety glasses. $10/participant (plus admission to Heritage Village).

Gently used household items, antiques, kitchenware, small furniture, sports equipment, books, puzzles and games. The Madden Tool Museum will also have tool demos and tours throughout the day. Proceeds will be used to purchase a lawnmower for Heritage Village.

Explore German history and indulge in German foods, from brats to cake. There will also be live German music; demonstrations of blacksmithing, silk dying and knapping; Joan Wilkie presenting in the school (1pm); and Nan and Jerry Krause telling German immigrant stories (11am-2pm).

“The Heritage Garden at Crossroads,” presented by Nancy Goldberg. She will lead a presentation reflecting on the history of the Heritage Garden, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2019. Free, but donations appreciated.

Staff members will hand out small bags of pre-portioned candy to anyone in costume, the buildings will be closed but decorated and staff will be on porches telling riddles, rhymes, and short stories. Short hikes through the woods will be available. A small scavenger hunt is planned and anyone who completes the hunt will receive a little goody bag which includes a Culver's free scoop token.

The Easter bunny has hidden over 2,000 eggs on the grounds of Heritage Village. Bags provided. Each bag is numbered and hunters can only collect eggs with the same number as their bag, guaranteeing everyone sweets and treats. Featuring a visit from the Easter Bunny and an egg toss contest. Free, donations appreciated.
