Veterans Honored for Years of Service

(Left to right) Clyde Casperson, Henry Eckert, whom are both charter members, and Commander Tom Kowalski of the American Legion Post 527, Sister Bay. Commander Kowalski presented Eckert with a plaque for 60 years in the American Legion at the organization’s Christmas Party. Eckert was the First Post Commander for 15 years and Firing Squad Commander for 25 years. Casperson, who was Commander after Eckert, was presented his 60-year plaque at a previous party. Thanks to these fine veterans for their dedication and loyalty to this post and to their country.
