Veterans Honored with Quilts

The Peninsula Piecemakers quilting group honored nine local veterans – John Britton, Erv Cornette, Wayne Delwiche, Roger Johnson, Bill Karas, Alan Kintopf, Frank Mack, Dale Wiegand and Dave Wilson – Nov. 3 for their military and community service. The evening included Jerry Kobishop singing the national anthem; presenting each veteran with a specially homemade, patriotic quilt; and a social afterward.
