VIDEO: Destination Door County Encourages Masks, Safe Travel

Destination Door County is encouraging guests to visit Door County safely by wearing face masks, social distancing, and washing hands.

Even in the COVID era, there’s much to visit, explore and discover in Door County.

“We’re asking visitors to take precautions that are fairly common everyday practices these days,” said Jon Jarosh, director of communications for Destination Door County.

Dr. Jim Heise, the Chief Medical Officer at Destination Door County, said those practices include three main things:

Wear a face mask
Wash hands frequently
Maintain physical distancing

“These simple but effective efforts have the ability to greatly reduce the risk of spread of COVID, save lives, and burden on our health care system,” said Door County Public Health Manager Sue Powers.

Door County has seen a rise in COVID cases as the tourism season has picked up.
