Door County Habitat for Humanity (DCHH) fundraises for their 41st home build with the annual Vintage Home & Garden Fair on Sept. 1, 9 am – 3 pm at the Lazy L Ranch, 5280 Country View Road, Sturgeon Bay. In addition to upcycled and repurposed/refinished furniture, home and garden décor, and five local vendor booths, 30 birdhouses decorated by Door County artists are for sale. Artists throughout the county contributed talent and time to create distinctive and functional pieces of art in support of the event. Sturgeon Bay Breakfast Rotary Club will serve food and entertainment will be provided by Michael Bleck and Early Thomas.
DCHH, started 25 years ago by a group of local citizens, has a mission of helping all members of the community to have decent and affordable homes. They work with partner families to build affordable homes that are then purchased by the partner families from the organization. Home preservation projects are also done with homeowners.
