Viva la Cottage Hosts 4th Annual Friends of Viva Trunk Show

The shop and gardens of Viva la Cottage, located at 10038 Highway 57 in Sister Bay, will provide the setting for the 4th annual Friends of Viva Trunk Show on August 6 from 10 am – 5 pm. The event will offer select wares from five Door County boutiques, including Monticello on Jefferson and Child’s Play (both of Sturgeon Bay), Magic Jacket (Fish Creek), Patricia Shoppe (Egg Harbor) and Viva La Cottage. Savory Spoon Cooking School of Ellison Bay will serve light luncheon items throughout the day.

The Friends of Viva Trunk Show will continue to offer a diverse selection of women’s specialty clothing, accessories and home accents. Monticello on Jefferson will display retro-inspired, casual summer looks; while Patricia Shoppe will bring trend-driven fashions and jewelry with a nod to vintage details. Viva la Cottage will present vintage-inspired clothing and home décor, and Magic Jacket will feature handmade and funky “wearable art.” This is the first year that Child’s Play, which offers “fun and functional” children’s apparel and toys, will join the group.

According to Viva la Cottage owner, Angie McMahon, although the purpose of the combined trunk show is to showcase one-of-a kind boutique items, a major benefit is the shop owners’ continued appreciation of the “Friends” varied talents.

“The show is more about relationships and bringing out the best in each other,” she said. “We admire each others stores so much.”
