Volunteer Bell Ringers Needed in Door County

It’s that holiday time of year again! The Salvation Army is seeking volunteer bell ringers – individuals, couples, families and people from churches, schools and civic organizations – through Dec. 28. Last year, more than $70,000 was raised to help 125 individuals and families in Door County, plus more than 700 children.

The Salvation Army in Door County coordinates with other social-service providers through the Door County Emergency Food and Shelter Network to prevent duplicating services.

This year the Salvation Army is adding “cash-less” kettle donations, which allow people to donate via Apple Pay or Google Pay at kettle sites; and optional online registration for bell ringing at Registertoring.com.

Volunteers may also sign up with Nancy Kexel-Calabresa at 920.883.7886 or [email protected] to volunteer at Walmart, Econofoods, Pick ’n Save, Walgreens and Main Street Market. Contact Mary Rosecky at 920.854.5480 to ring on Fridays and Saturdays at Al Johnson’s, Piggly Wiggly, Bhirdo’s, Nelson’s True Value Shopping Center and the Pioneer Store.
