Volunteer Center Launches “The Volunteer Project”

2012 – 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the Volunteer Center of Door County and its service to the community by launching “The Volunteer Project.” This project is designed to add 500 new volunteers to their volunteer database.

Door County has over 350 non-profit agencies and all of them need volunteers. Pam Seiler, Executive Director of the Volunteer Center, says, “How can we expect people to help when they don’t know where help is needed? I frequently hear ‘I would have helped, but I didn’t know they needed anyone.’”

Over the next 12 months, The Volunteer Project will be located in various locations registering community members to receive information about volunteer opportunities.
