Volunteer Opportunities at American Folklore Theatre

For every person on stage, it takes several people off stage. One of the ways this is accomplished at American Folklore Theatre (AFT) is with the help of many generous volunteers.

If you love theatre and the outdoors – and you enjoy sharing that experience with others – AFT has the perfect opportunity for you. AFT offers many different ways to get involved with the theatre experience. In addition to ushering, selling concessions, guiding parking and assisting disabled guests, there are opportunities to help with poster and rack card distribution, assist with bulk mailings, prepare the amphitheatre in Peninsula State Park for the summer season, and assist with the many special events AFT has planned this summer.

Volunteers can choose what jobs they would like to do and their hours – no matter what you enjoy doing and when you enjoy doing it, there is a task for everyone. The best part about volunteering at AFT is meeting people who enjoy AFT’s “theatre under the stars” as much as you do.

Be a part of a very unique Door County experience in a setting only nature can create. Witness original theatrical works that you won’t see duplicated anywhere else. And when the final applause echoes through the trees, you’ll feel a satisfaction that’s hard to beat.

If this sounds interesting, AFT would love to hear from you. No experience is necessary – just a willingness to help and a desire to be a part of something original in beautiful Door County.
