Volunteers Ready to Help with Taxes

Local volunteers trained by the Internal Revenue Service are available to assist people in completing federal and state tax forms and Homestead tax credit forms. The service serves low- and moderate-income residents of Door County. AARP tax help is available at no charge, however, donations to the Senior Center are accepted. The service is available from 8:30 to 10:30 am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through April 10 at the Senior Center, 832 N. 14th Ave., Sturgeon Bay. Call 920.746.2542 for an appointment. Additional tax preparation support is being offered by Karl Raasch in Baileys Harbor (call for appointment, 920.839.2157), and by Frank Pammer at Scandia Village (call for appointment, 920.854.2317). Volunteers cannot do returns such as farm, business, married persons filing separately or returns requiring depreciation.
