Von Stiehl Wins Four Gold Medals

Von Stiehl just brought home to the peninsula four gold medals; three from Tasters Guild International Wine Competition and one from the West Coast Wine Competition.

Tasters Guild Golds were awarded to von Stiehl’s Sangiovese Grosso, Late Harvest Riesling and Apple Icing. These three wines have become accustomed to the color gold as they have collected many over the past few years.

The 2012 Sierra Foothills Sangiovese Grosso was also awarded a gold medal by the West Coast Wine Competition. Expect aromas of black cherry and red fruits in this wine, along with a subtle hint of sweet pipe tobacco and barrel spice.
