Vote for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin

Voting is open for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin, and the Mark W. Barker has been nominated. 

The new, 639-foot bulk carrier built at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay was given a ceremonial launch in October 2021, and it was officially christened this year. Owned by Interlake Steamship – the largest privately held shipping company on the Great Lakes – the Mark W. Barker is the first U.S.-flagged Great Lakes bulk carrier built in more than 35 years.
