Voter Registration Drives Continue

Register to vote! Prepare for the fall primary and general election season and avoid long lines at the polls.

Because of the high turnout expected for the fall elections, it has never been more important to register early. Special Registration Deputies and members of the League of Women Voters of Door County, Barbara Graul and Susan Kohout have been, and will continue to conduct voter registration drives throughout the county during the next four months.

The next round of events will be:

• Saturday, August 16 from 8:30 – 11 am at the Sturgeon Bay Farm Market.

• Tuesday, August 19 from 3 – 6 pm during Sturgeon Bay School District Registration in the lobby of Sturgeon Bay High School (This drive is for residents of Sturgeon Bay only because of a blocked-out period preceding the September primary).

Prospective voters MUST BRING their Wisconsin Drivers License or a Wisconsin ID to use in completing the application. If they have neither item, they can bring the last four digits of their social security number.

For more information call Susan Kohout, at 920.743.1527 or Barbara Graul at 920.743.6842.
