Wacky Wednesday Offers Chance for All to Enjoy “Shakespeare (Abridged!)”

Door Shakespeare invites everyone, especially the ‘locals,’ to join in the frivolity of its first-ever fall season offering, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)! by presenting a Wacky Wednesday performance on October 12. Tickets for Wacky Wednesday cost $15.

Wacky Wednesday seats at the Ephraim Village Hall will feature the same professional cast, the same cavalcade of costumes and the same visual effects as full-priced tickets on Thursday through Sunday. But at a 40 percent discount, Door Shakespeare hopes that Wacky Wednesdays will allow even more folks to share in the wackiest take on Shakespeare since Sarah Bernhardt played Lady Macbeth in an elephant headdress!

“I’m appalled. I’m appalled and ashamed of this organization that thinks my greatest efforts, reflected here in this fine piece of immortal theatrical achievement, can be belittled in this fashion,” said director and actor Ryan Schabach. “If you come at this price, you better also buy a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie at the concessions booth!”

Door Shakespeare also offers a special “Man-tinee” performance on October 9 to allow football fans to tailgate at the Ephraim Village Hall after the special 1:30 pm show before settling in for that evening’s game.

Regular price for tickets for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)! are $25 for adults and $16 for students. The show is suggested for those 13 years of age or older. Advanced reservations are recommended due to limited seating. For more information or reservations call 920.839.1500 or visit http://www.doorshakespeare.com.
