‘Walk with Me’ Remembers Victims

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the community is encouraged to join HELP of Door County in solidarity with victims of domestic violence for their annual “Walk with Me” event Oct. 3, 4 pm in Martin Park, Sturgeon Bay.

The short program includes special guest speaker Lolita Philips, stories, poems and music to remember victims of domestic violence in Door County and the 72 lives lost to domestic violence homicides in Wisconsin in 2017.

The walk goes across the Oregon Street Bridge, Steel Bridge and down Third Avenue back to Martin Park. Refreshments are provided through the generosity of sponsors for the event. For more information call HELP of Door County at 920.743.8785.
