Wanda Jean’s is hosting a Holiday Cookie Social as a fundraiser for Door County Habitat for Humanity on Nov. 29, 4-7 pm. The social is open to the public for as long as the supply of treats lasts. Volunteers are baking and donating their favorite holiday treats, and shoppers can select their own assortment to take home. Boxes are provided, and treats are $6 per dozen, with all proceeds benefiting Door County Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to the treats prepared by volunteers, there will be undecorated sugar cookies available for purchase to take home and decorate. Cider and cocoa are available for a small fee, and seats are available to socialize. Door County Habitat for Humanity staff will be available to answer questions about the programs and share progress on this year’s home build.
Started in 1993, Door County Habitat for Humanity has completed 40 homes and numerous home repair projects for families throughout Door County. The 41st home is currently under construction, with plans for the family to be able to move in for Christmas.
