Waseda Farms Host Home-Style Picnic for Working Mothers

The Women’s Fund of Door County has teamed up with Waseda Farms to present a free home-style picnic for working mothers and their families.

“This is our way to say thank you to the working mothers of Door County,” says Sally O’Brien, co-chair of the Women’s Fund of Door County. “Studies show that Door County women working full-time earn 30 percent less than men.”

There will be hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream; hayrides, face painting, animals and entertainment by Ben Larsen.

This event takes place June 11 from 4 to 7 pm
 at Waseda Farms. The picnic is free, but space is limited. For reservations call 920.333.1580.
