Waseda Farms Surpasses “You Buy We Give” Campaign Goal

The Waseda Farms “You Buy We Give” Campaign beat their goal of selling $15,000 in ground beef during January, and sold $17,000 from both of their retail locations, in Baileys Harbor and De Pere. Waseda Farms donated 100 percent of the proceeds of all ground beef sales during January to their campaign partners including two Door County nonprofit organizations: the Boys and Girls Club of Door County and Loaves and Fishes.

“This gift from Waseda Farms will make a tremendous impact on our meal program,” said Julie Davis, CEO of the Boys and Girls of Door County. “We serve approximately 85 kids every Monday and Thursday night at the Club. With the support of Waseda Farms we will be able to continue this important program to feed children in need in our community.”

“Waseda Farms is meeting a great need in our community with this campaign,” said Gary Hollman, program coordinator for Loaves and Fishes. “Our program serves over 4,000 free meals a year with no government funding. We rely on donations from individuals, local churches, and business. To receive such a large contribution from Waseda Farms is truly a blessing.”
