Washington Island Receives Partial Grant for Mosling Recreation Center

The Washington Island Foundation, Inc. gratefully acknowledges a partial grant from the Raibrook Foundation toward infrastructure improvements at the Mosling Recreation Center on Washington Island. This grant will increase the level of energy efficiency and safety by replacing aged and malfunctioning equipment used for the swimming pool and hot tub. The Washington Island Mosling Recreation Center is a community fitness, wellness and social center for all ages and hosts classes, meetings and school events. It is open to the public year round, with more than 15,000 visits by patrons and guests each year since opening in 1988. The Rec Center offers the following amenities: a 60-foot long swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room with 25 exercise machines, large conference room, public bathrooms and showers, pool table, games and books, vending machines and free WI-FI.
