Watercolorists Bridget Austin and Jack Anderson will be together for a special show at Cottage Row Gallery on July 19. The show will open with a “meet the artists” reception from 10 am – 1 pm, where light refreshments will be served.
Austin has been painting her impressions of nature in watercolor for more than 35 years. She has earned Master Status in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and had paintings accepted in many national and international exhibitions. She also has taught workshops at the Peninsula School of Art since 1981 and The Clearing in Ellison Bay since 1985.
Anderson became a full-time painter in 1977 when he opened the Jack Anderson Gallery in Sister Bay, where he successfully exhibited and sold his work as well as that of many other artists for more than 30 years. During this time, his watercolors have focused on the unique look of Door County. He never tires of the views that Mother Nature has to offer a painter. He still finds appreciation of the old, weathered buildings and landmarks that are disappearing from view.
Cottage Row Gallery is located at 9197 Highway 42, ½ mile south of Fish Creek in the big red barn at Orchard Country Winery. The gallery is open daily 10 am – 5 pm, Sundays 10 am – 4 pm. For more information call 920.868.2626 or visit cottagerowgallerydc.com.
